Exploding with new sounds, Plain White T’s took Exit/In by storm on a Friday night in Nashville. Crafting a setlist of songs from every album also allowed the introduction of their newest self-titled work. Peppering hits throughout their set such as “Rhythm of Love” and inviting the crowd to engage with songs, the band is exploring new avenues for fan engagement.

Before the band entered the stage for the evening, lead singer Tom Higgenson could be heard across the house asking everyone to pull out their phones and visit set.live to choose their favorite song. The winning song would be played during the show, and one lucky concertgoer would win a signed setlist from the entire band.
While the platform remains relatively new, backed by Music Artist Exchange, it offers artists a seamless way to engage with fans that is unique and personal. The tab will remain on fans’ cell phones where merchandise and socials can even be visited after the show, and even offers a link to stream the band’s newest release.

Overall, Plain White T’s provided several nods to their openers of the evening. Local opener Sierra Annie stunned the crowd with talent, sharing stories from working shows at Nashville’s The End. to opening for the band. Shortly after, tour opener Pollyanna thrilled the crowd with a wave of astounding energy. Anyone with a punk taste should keep this band on their radar, especially as they prepare for a tour with Waterparks later this spring.
