Concert Review: Sleeping With Sirens - Let’s Cheers to Nashville

Sleeping With Sirens at Marathon Music Works on July 2, 2024
Sleeping With Sirens certainly brought the heat to Marathon Music Works for their summer tour kickoff show in Nashville, Tennessee. A preface to the ‘Let’s Cheers to This’ anniversary shows, the band reminded fans of their versatility by performing energetic hits from each album in their stacked repertoire. Though the show was on a Tuesday evening, the crowd rivaled a Friday night show. Excitement was seamless throughout the room as the band performed hits such as “Tally It Up: Settle the Score,” “Kick Me,” and “Bloody Knuckles.”
The only caveat to this show was no air conditioning, but the show’s temperature did not rival the Warped Tour days, for those who remember the blistering sun. Lead vocalist Kellin Quinn made a point to encourage drinking water, leaving room for fans to exit the crowd when needed, and taking care of one another. Following true to the scene, fans were crowd surfing throughout the night and the audience was moving about during the entire show. Whether jumping, headbanging, or moving in and out of the front, fans were captivated by the aura.
Though the show was the first show in 9 months, that note wouldn’t be known to a casual listener. The set was nonstop with only a small acoustic break, guitarist Nick Martin and Quinn bringing the strongest stage presence of the night. The crowd interaction paralleled the energetic aura of the room, even during the band’s newer releases such as ‘Complete Collapse’ (2022). The album is a step into the band’s heavier roots and includes features by Spencer Chamberlain, Royal & the Serpent, and more.
Closing the show with a 3-song encore, each fan received a taste of the anniversary tour to come. The band is also performing at a handful of festival shows this year, including Louder Than Life and When We Were Young 2024. To check out the newest Sleeping With Sirens tour dates, click here.
