Corbyn Besson releases “Don’t Run”

Today, singer and guitarist Corbyn Besson releases his new single "Don't Run" listen HERE. Known as one-fifth of the multi-billion-streaming, arena-headlining boy band Why Don’t We, Corbyn has now stepped out on his own as a solo artist after a seven-year journey with the group.

“Don’t Run” showcases Corbyn’s unique sound, blending elements of R&B with energetic electronic pop, all while layering introspective lyrics over heartfelt melodies. This release follows the success of his collaboration with NOTD on the hit single “Panic,” which has rapidly expanded his streaming presence, setting the perfect stage for his solo work. With “Don’t Run” leading the charge, Corbyn is gearing up for more releases on the road to his upcoming EP, further cementing his evolution as a solo artist.

Following the success of his solo debut single “Love Me Better”, which dropped earlier this year, Corbyn continues to define his sound. “Love Me Better” was originally co-written with his Why Don’t We bandmates Daniel Seavey and Jonah Marais and was initially intended as a track for the group before their hiatus. The song was widely celebrated, with support from Zach Sang on The Zach Sang Show, Brooke Reese on Apple Music’s The Chart Show, as well as coverage from Billboard, Paper Magazine, and Rolling Stone. While it features upbeat pop hooks and group vocals reminiscent of Why Don’t We, “Love Me Better” also introduces distinct acoustic and electric riffs, alongside urban-leaning beats, that mark Corbyn’s departure from the band’s signature sound. The track carries a powerful message of breaking free from situations that no longer serve you.

“The beauty of music is in how it emotionally connects people, regardless of language or background,” Corbyn shares. “A song can be a three-minute escape from the world during tough times, or it can amplify joy and excitement. I want people to feel good when they listen to my music. I want to be a safe place for my fans to turn to when they feel like they’ve got nowhere else to go, because they’ve been that for me.”

With a growing solo catalog and a clear vision for his future, Corbyn Besson is making waves as a solo artist while continuing to create music that resonates deeply with his fans. Stay tuned for more releases as Corbyn continues his exciting journey of musical self-discovery.
